When we first meet we discuss where you’re at now and your health history. Getting to the root cause of any obstacle or health imbalance is the guiding principle used in my practice because knowing this creates an effective plan. Careful attention is placed on your outlook, diet, routine, nutrition and sleep.
I use two methodologies, Ayurveda (Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda) and modern science (Precision Nutrition), covering a comprehensive approach to balancing physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Ayurveda, because the West is a fairly young culture without an established holistic system, in comparison to Ayurveda which has been around for about 5,000 years. It is known in Ayurveda that disharmony within blossom from imbalances left unchecked, and secondly, most health related issues can be traced back to the gut, stemming from diet and lifestyle choices, and lack of friendly bacteria in the gut, all compounded by stress. It has been proven over the last decade or so that the gut has a direct relationship with the brain. So how we feel and what we eat are very much interconnected.
After a thorough assessment, a full spectrum plan is laid out outlining steps to create health, balance and bliss in your life. Your personalized plan is based on your assessment, root cause(s) of imbalances, and your goals, time commitment and expected outcomes. You will be guided every step of the way to ensure the plan is doable, safe and sustainable.

Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda
Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda (SV Ayurveda) is a family lineage of Ayurveda that stayed true to the ancient teachings as the knowledge was passed down from generation to generation with utmost care. The last lineage holder of SVA was Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra (1952-2017) whose unbroken family lineage of Ayurveda has helped countless sick people spanning millennia. While staying true to the ancient teachings, Vaidya Mishra’s genius modifications to contemporary Ayurvedic treatments were necessary to safely treat people of today burdened in toxic environments with nutrition deficient diets, high stress levels and reliance on supplements and pharmaceuticals. SVA’s effective herbal delivery formulas and treatment modifications are one of a kind in Ayurveda today because it abides by the most accurate meaning and full understanding of what holistic healing is truly all about- individualized treatment and getting to the root cause(s) of imbalances with no further harm to the client.

Can I Help?
I want to be healthier but do I need coaching to do that?
The wish for a healthier life involves developing and maintaining healthier habits. You can try this useful exercise; ask yourself the reasons why you want to change and be healthier, and write them down. Then ask yourself the reasons why you don’t want to change, and write them down. If the reasons to change outweigh the reasons not to change, then you’re off to a great start. The next steps are following through with your wish with consistent actions and intentions. Developing consistent actions and maintaining them, through encouragement and accountability, is where coaching can help.
How do you differ over someone else to help me with my health?
I have over two decades of experience in the mind-body field. I have helped others experience the benefits of a holistic, healthy and sustainable kind of living. If this kind of living interests you, or some aspect of it, or you’re looking to deepen and refine your already existing healthy lifestyle, I invite you for a chat. This is all doable, even though we are up against a lot- fast food chains and products, high stress levels, pain or discomfort, plenty of distractions etc. This is doable with practice, patience and correct mind set. ‘Practicing what I preach’, I deepen my own practice through meditation, yoga, Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda, and other on-going studies in my field.

Dissatisfaction with your general health and wellness involving diet, nutrition and movement causing pain or discomfort, uncertainty, malaise, or disorganization with activities of daily living and your life purpose
When choosing a health professional, it is wise to work with someone who meets the qualifications to best help you with your health concerns. It is also important that you feel you have trust and rapport with this person. I hold qualification as a regulated health professional with an active Massage Therapy License. I also have an active registration with Yoga Alliance and have certification and training in Yoga, Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda, mindfulness, meditation, nutrition and coaching.
Holistic health is currently a developing field of study here in North America. I turned to Ayurveda and Yoga with its rich history and knowledge of food and herbs, and its complete set of holistic principles that has stood the test of time. I have found that just about any question as it relates to food and lifestyle, which I get asked frequently, can be answered by the knowledge found in Ayurveda and Yoga.

If you want to lose weight with a holistic approach, yes I can help you lose weight and maintain healthy habits. Weight gain is a reflection of the health of all the tissues of the body, not just the appearance of excess fatty tissue. Losing weight is a commitment, and I would be happy to discuss it with you.
